Our work
While municipalities are addressing climate change through adaptation plans and strategies, there is a need to more intentionally integrate public health impacts into this work. In May 2018, SHIFT Collaborative supported Fraser Health and Vancouver Coastal Health by designing and delivering a 1-day training for public health professionals on how the health sector can work with municipalities to address health impacts of climate change. The training introduced a variety of resources, tools and frameworks and provided space for hands-on exercises and exploration.
