During the COVID 19 pandemic, there was no support for food distribution for marginalized and vulnerable people.

Our work together
SHIFT Collaborative coordinated efforts across agencies to ensure food was distributed during the pandemic. Agencies worked together to distribute approximately 3000 food boxes across Surrey and White Rock each week.

The impacts last through to today with stronger collaborations and ease of access to food. These lessons were helpful to define a nimble approach to emergency management and the lessons learned will be repeated through other local disasters and events.
