The problem they came to us with
How might we co-create housing strategies within T’Sou-ke traditional territory that embrace Indigenous worldviews of “home”, support community health, wellbeing, and connection to ecosystems and honour treaty responsibilities between Indigenous and non-Indigenous residents?

Our work
In collaboration with the IISAAK OLAM Foundation, T’Sou-ke Nation and a diverse range of other partners, we supported a process of design, facilitation and developmental evaluation for this 18-month Indigenous Housing Solutions Lab. The Solutions Lab is engaging with regional stakeholders within T’Sou-ke Nation’s traditional territory to co-develop mutually beneficial housing innovations grounded in a broad vision of “home” which includes an integration of housing, community, territory, and culture. These learnings were shared and added to by a Learning Community of five additional Indigenous Nations in BC.
