What are the shared priorities and practices that will strengthen collaboration and effectiveness of the Plant and Animal Health Branch and the newly created Office of the Chief Veterinarian?

Our work
SHIFT Collaborative led a joint strategic planning process with the Plant and Animal Health Branch and the recently established Office of the Chief Veterinarian to establish a shared understanding of the roles and alignment of the two teams. Through a survey, dialogues and a joint planning session, the staff developed a shared understanding of their common and unique challenges and culture. Teams established goals and objectives including new practices to strengthen their internal and external communication and collaboration. Following the strategic planning session, SHIFT Collaborative supported the teams to develop one year action plans.
