Our work
Since 2021, SHIFT has been supporting evaluation of  SWAN Vancouver’s important work on several projects. Our latest evaluation services are supporting SWAN’ efforts to  advance systemic change within the healthcare sector, addressing sex work stigma and gaps in knowledge that lead to inconsistent or discriminatory policies and practices which are barriers to im∕migrant sex workers accessing healthcare.

From 2022-2024, SWAN Vancouver conducted a three-year project aiming to shift the media’s discursive framing of im/migrant sex workers in order to support greater gender equality. SHIFT supported SWAN with the development and implementation of a project evaluation framework, and developmental evaluation coaching through real-time reflection and learning processes throughout the project.
