Building Resilient Neighbourhoods (BRN) is a collaborative effort to help create more resilient communities and neighbourhoods in British Columbia. The initiative focuses on strengthening communities’ responses and capacity to adapt to big changes and deep challenges through fostering greater connection between people and with the places where we live. SHIFT is the lead delivery agency for this initiative and team members Stacy Barter and Michelle Colussi provide leadership through program design & implementation, facilitation, coaching, training and evaluation. Building a greater sense of connection to the people and places where we live is important as we recognize and celebrate our interdependence and grow “local self-reliance”.
