  3. City of Vancouver, Public Engagement Solutions Lab- Process Design & Facilitation, 2017

The Solutions Lab has been identified as a priority in the City of Vancouver’s Healthy City Strategy in order to increase the collaboration of City departments and other stakeholders in service of solving some of Vancouver’s most complex challenges. The City is looking for new ways to effectively and creatively solve problems, and to deeply engage City staff and the community in ways that bring their full talents to the challenges. Drawing on practices from Theory U and Human Centred Design, Stacy Barter from the SHIFT team supported the design and facilitation of this stream of the Solutions Lab focused on creating a more consistent, collaborative, and values-aligned approach to Public Engagement.
