  3. Winnipeg Housing Solutions Lab: Supportive Solutions for Indigenous Youth Aging Out of Care, 2019

Housing Solutions for Indigenous Youth Aging Out of Care is a social innovation lab which aims to reduce rates of homelessness and housing insecurity among Indigenous youth involved in the provincial child welfare system in Winnipeg when they age out of Manitoba Child and Family Services and lose their institutional supports at the age of 18. In collaboration with Aboriginal Youth Opportunities (AYO!), HTFC Planning & Design, and Nigaanii Wabiski Mikanak Ogichidaa (Leading White Turtle Warriors Research Team) at the University of Manitoba, SHIFT is supporting Lab process design, facilitation and developmental evaluation. Through this process, we are supporting the Lab team to explore, prototype and test solutions together.
